6. Mesut Ozil – Arsenal
The German international is one of the complete footballers in the world since he joined Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2013, he has made the Premier League ever sweeter to watch thanks to his skills. But his reputation went from hero to zero when it was discovered that he had an affair with ex-Bayern Munich defender Christian Lell’s girlfriend Melanie Rickinger.
Lell alleged that the Gunners man was involved with Melanie Rickinger while he was still in a relationship with her but Ozil refused to comment on the allegations.
Mesut Ozil and Christian Lell aren’t teammates in the club level, but they have both played for the German U21 national team.
5. Thibaut Courtois – Chelsea
Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is yet another player who has slept with his teammate girlfriend. Back in 2013, the Daily Mail alleged that Chelsea team-mate Thibaut Courtois had had an affair with De Bruyne’s girlfriend Caroline Lijnen.
De Bruyne was said to have been “devastated” about the affair, but had since reconciled with Courtois. Both players were owned by Chelsea at the time, although Courtois was on loan at Atletico Madrid when the affair happened. They both play for Belgium National team.
4. John Terry – Aston Villa
Aston Villa defender is considered to be one of the best central defenders of his generation. He captained Chelsea from 2004 to 2017 and had gone to become the club’s most successful captain, having won many titles including five Premier League titles and one Champions League title.
Terry gained notoriety in 2009 when he bedded the wife of England teammate Wayne Bridge. Needless to say, Bridge had apparently just ended his relationship with his wife Vanessa Perroncel when John Terry weaselled his way in. When the affair became public, a media circus ensued.
Bridge was devastated and furious. He refused to speak to John Terry ever again and to play for England in 2010. In turn, John Terry was stripped of the England armband.

Back in 2007, Chelsea legend was accused of having an affair with Germany teammate at the time, Christian Lell.
The former Hertha BSC defender had to say this about Michael Ballack: “Ballack enters into other people’s lives and ruins them without further thought.” Ballack was Germany’s captain at the time.
